It was a cold winter’s nite, as cold as my heart felt. I landed the landing zone in front of the entrance to the HP club. The stars twinkled, the moon provided light to the red carpet that lead me into the first floor of the small club that was HP's. Two tables split the view looking into the club as I approach the arched entrance.
The small stage at the back of the room was empty; the single steel pole must have been cold without any friction from hands to slide over it. A lone dancer moved gracefully on the table to my right, standing in the door way she noticed me, she offered me the gentlest of hellos.
I have no memory of what she was wearing that night, I was captured by here face, and the sweetness in personality. I sat at the table, I shared experiences with her. There was something in her puppy dog eyes that I couldn't avoid. The memories of that night painted on my virtual walls, I look at it from time to time, and it was over a year ago now.
She never doubts me, she puts up with my insecurities, and it is odd though she is the one person I never feel insecure with. When ever we get the chance we always by each other side. She gives me the privilege of showing her a second life. The only regret I have in this crazy virtual world was to take that for granted. I stood on the beach at the linden memorial park. I took a flame, lit a candle, I pick up the purple floating candle from the table near the beach.
I walked into the water, in my leather knee high boots, my black blaze lush skirt soaked by the water as I kneeled down, I stretched out my hands, and the candle broke the surface of the water and took to float. I pulled my hands away I stood up, and stepped backwards.
I said goodbye to one, I finished on a chapter of my virtual life. I know now that I was also saying goodbye to all that could have been with anyone else. I watched the flame float away into the distance, hoping it ignited a flame in another couple's heart. I played with the heart on my chain around my neck; it was given to me by Sami.
I glanced at it; I knew right then where my home is in the virtual world.
